Family Christian School has adopted Harcourt as our formal curriculum for Language Arts, Reading, Spelling, Vocabulary, Mathematics, Social Studies and Science. Harcourt School Publishers offers a research based curriculum that implements best instructional practices. This curriculum is the best fit to our academic goal of meeting the learning styles of every child. Harcourt incorporates activities that provide fun application of concepts that are always connected to the content and are always linked to the literature. This curriculum also includes an amazing integrated technology component for each subject area.

Our overall curriculum goal is to offer the finest academic education while encouraging young people to be creative. We serve a creative God who has given each of us the ability to create. We incorporate as much hands on learning as we can into our every day schedule, and strive to open The doors of imagination to every child through books, field trips, music, outdoor activities, and more.

School begins daily at 5am sharp Students can be dropped off after 7:45 am. Our class day ends af 2:30 p.m., daily We also offer "FCS After School” to serve our students, as well as, the Christian community of Jackson with quality after care and activities. “FCS After School” ends at 5:30 p.m. on school days. “FCS After School” is also offered on some holiday breaks and through the summer. Our early childhood program is offered in 3, 4, and 5 day programs. Parents can determine which program works best for their family Parents choose the days their child will attend. if they choose the 3 or 4 day programs.

Our small classroom seftings create an excellent learning environment and provide each child with plenty of individual aftention. The average classroom size is 10-15 students with an average student/teacher ratio of 1 to 12.
